I caught up with Janel Parrish and Michelle Williams at Grease: The Musical Toronto!
Admittedly, I'm not the biggest fan of the 1978 film Grease. I am, however, all about Grease: The Musical in Toronto!
During her run as Sandy, I sat down with Janel Parrish—yes, Mona in Pretty Little Liars and the upcoming Freeform spinoff Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists—who stars in the soon-to-be-released film adaptation of best-selling novel "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" by Jenny Han.
"To All The Boys I've Loved Before" hits Netflix on August 17, and I can't wait! It is so exciting to see representation like this in a teen coming-of-age film. Janel opened up to us about what being part of a diverse, Asian-American led cast means to her.
Want more? We also played #TransformationTuesday with Janel, taking a look back at some of her iconic red carpet looks dating all the way back to 2007.
Better yet, this production of Grease: The Musical was blessed by a member of Destiny's Child. Michelle Williams was in the show, too! We got to chat with her at a meet & greet after her first performance guest starring as Teen Angel.
She could not have been more lovely. We're so lucky to have people like her in this world, and I hope she knows that.
Until next time,
Julianna
